This is a '51 Lincoln that was found in Owasso, OK several years ago. My wife's brother, Clark Hutchins came down from NY to attend and help me at the Starbird Rod & Custom Show in Tulsa, got lost coming to my house and saw it sitting in a field, when he got to my house he told me he had found a Merc that he always wanted so we jumped in my car and tracked it down, I said that is a LIncoln and it is better because of the frenched headlights. We hired a truck to get it out of the woods and delivered to my house. I had a '79 Mark V and after measuring the wheelbase, informed Clark that they were very close to being exactly the same so the hunt for a Mark V was on, Clark lived in Albany NY and happened upon a Mark V with a 460 motor, he took the Mark V body off the frame and set the '51 on it. Clark did all the mechanical and body work, paint and interior, he had never attempted this before, he was a carpenter by trade. Clark found the Buick trim and modified it to fit, he also built the bubble skirts to cover the rear wheels which were a bit wider than the original '51 body. Sadly, Clark passed away a short time after finishing the car and receiving a specialty award at the Rhinebeck NY Rod and Custom car show. His son Clark Jr now has the car.

Check out this amazing dash, he somehow kept the original dash and made it fit into the Mark V dash with custom gauges. Steering wheel and interior is Mark V.
